NUTTY COCONUT TREATS RECIPE - HEALTHY DESSERT

These Nutty Coconut were absolutely amazing and reminded me of Almond Joy candy bars minus all the refined sugars and fake ingredients!

Most people suffer from diseases/disorders fueled by a bad diet, especially sugar.

I used to be addicted to sugary snacks and I suffered for it for YEARS without ever knowing where the damage was coming from.

Satisfying your sweet tooth with natural ingredients can do wonders for your health.

How To Make Nutty Coconut Treats:

Ingredients:
  • Half cup pitted dates
  • One cup unsweetened shredded coconut
  • Half cup unrefined coconut oil
  • 3/4 cup raw unsalted almonds
  • Two tbsp hemp hearts
  • Half cup dark chocolate chips sweetened with Stevia (no sugar...I used Lily’s brand)
  • nonstick muffin pan
  • wax paper
Method:
  1. Soak pitted dates in hot water for at least 5 minutes, drain the water then add to either blender or food processor.
  2. Add almonds, shredded coconut, coconut oil (melted) then blend together, periodically scraping mixture off the sides so it’s even.
  3. Pour mixture into a bowl and then add the hemp hearts and mix in.
  4. Place mixture into non-stick muffin pan (you can use cupcake papers if you like, should make 6–7) and lightly press down with the back of a spoon.
  5. Place in the freezer for 20 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, place chocolate chips in a glass cup or bowl, microwave to melt, then stir.
  7. Remove muffin pan from freezer and began taking them out and dipping them in the melted chocolate.
  8. Let sit on wax paper in the freezer for 10 minutes.
  9. Remove from freezer and transfer to the refrigerator to keep. Enjoy!
